1966--Music and meditation one afternoon at UC Berkeley
It seemed as if you could happen upon just about anything on the Berkeley campus. One afternoon, a couple of singing and guitar-playing buskers showed up just outside the Student Union. They did their thing and earned a few dollars. Then a circle of people quietly sat down on the pavement, forming a circle. Out came a lit candle, incense and a zither. The participants assumed the lotus position and chanted softly. It was just a typical day on the Berkeley campus.

For one meditator, no shirt, no shoes, mellow companions and a friendly dog.
